Ketamine Wellness NY is cash-pay. IV ketamine for psychiatric use is off-label and not directly covered by most insurers. We provide itemized superbills at every session with CPT codes (99215 with modifier 25, 96365, 99203), ICD-10 codes, and Dr. Qureshi’s provider NPI so you can submit for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Based on patient reports, roughly 20 to 50 percent of session cost is commonly reimbursed depending on your out-of-network mental health benefit.
Your introductory session is approximately two hours total at the clinic. You will complete a full clinical intake with our medical team, then receive your infusion in a private treatment room with soft lighting, an eye mask, and curated acoustic therapy. The infusion itself is 40 to 90 minutes, monitored throughout by Brent Boen, BSN-RN, CEN. A private recovery period follows before you are cleared to leave. You cannot drive yourself home, so arrange transportation in advance.
Most patients follow our evidence-based six-session protocol, delivered as two sessions per week for approximately three weeks. This matches the clinical research supporting IV ketamine for depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, and chronic pain. After the initial protocol, some patients benefit from periodic booster infusions to maintain results.
Roughly 60 to 70 percent of patients with treatment-resistant depression see significant improvement with IV ketamine. If you are in the 30 to 40 percent who do not respond as strongly, Dr. Qureshi will know within your six-session protocol, not weeks later. Yes. Clinical ketamine in a supervised setting is often a safer option than many other psychiatric treatments for patients with prior substance use concerns. You do not take ketamine home.
